The Zoo

Today we went to the Zoo for the second time using our season pass. At first we were a little bummed that it was overcast outside but when we got there, the sun was peeking out and if had been fully out, it would have been too hot! We had a great time although The Bean was very clingy and fussy and we had a flat on the stroller! Pushing that thing through all the hills that our zoo contains...made this out of shape Mama get a run for her money. Daddy did the heavy lifting when her heiness preferred being hand carried. All in all we had a great family day! Smelling the flowers with Daddy. I don't know what this flowering tree was but it smelled SO GOOD.

Daddy has a strange smile because he was growling trying to get The Bean to smile. The price you have to pay as a parent. The sacrifices are never ending!

Little Hercules trying to pick up a boulder. She even tossed the snack cup down in an effort to get a better hold.

Ok I can't blame her for being afraid of this thing.

Brushing the goats at the petting zoo.

What a difference from our first trip back in September!

And of course Beany had to "match" the zoo. What kind of Mother would I be without adorning my child in animal print for our outings there?!?! Giraffe for her first trip and leopard for our second.

On our way out Brad asked if she wanted to pick something out in the gift shop. He waited outside with the stroller and I took her in. She found it more interesting to pick up an entire basket of toys and walk around with it. As I looked out at Brad he was holding up 1 finger and mouthing...."only one" with a smirk on his face. She then rounded the display picked up a container of those Chinese paper fans and threw it on the floor. After we cleaned up her tantrum, I swooped her up and out of the store we went....no souvenir for the almost two year old!
